Here at Insight, we want to offer our community with the latest scoop in the Vancouver fashion scene. So, here's our list on the top 5 local brands we know you'll love!


SKYE Footwear is a small-scale brand competing within the athleisure shoe market. SKYE Footwear spent 2 years focusing on designing, searching and testing materials; never sacrificing comfort, never sacrificing style, so that their consumers feel good and look good.

Although SKYE is mainly eCommerce, you can find a selection of their products at 6 selected retailers in Vancouver and 1 exclusive retailer in the U.S.


Kit & Ace is a Canadian apparel brand founded in 2014 by Shannon Wilson, formal lead designer of Lululemon Athletica. The company closed all its international stores, focusing on its e-commerce and 9 Canadian shops.

The company was known for producing technical cashmere. They focus on comfort in every design decisions and searches for best technical fabric around the globe. Their team is in a constant forward motion of testing, trying, and growing to be the apparels that fits seamlessly into everyone’s life.



3. RYU

RYU is an urban athletic apparel store founded in 2008, subsidiary of Respect Your Universe, Inc. They were built on the fundamental understanding that they are multi-faceted and multi-disciplined. They focus their design without compromising and facilitates human performance. Created by and created for athletes.



Since 2010, STR/KE MVMNT focuses on selling athletic footwear, apparel and accessories; merging technical performance with classic athletics to create new athletic standards. Their community strives to be healthy, fit and productive. You can find STR/KE products in retail locations in Vancouver, San Francisco, and Finland.



Formerly a small hot-yoga apparel company since 2004, the company was relaunched in 2011, committing to creating a truly made-in-Canada, fashion driven athletic apparel brand. You can find Karma Athletics at their independent store in Gastown, in fitness studios across Canada, and in Nordstrom in the U.S.
